This policy explains what information Alaya Home Cleaning LLC (“we,” “us”) collects when you visit alayahomecleaning.com or contact us about cleaning services, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect what we need to quote, schedule, and clean your home, and nothing gets sold to anyone.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out our quote form, call, email, or text us, we receive what you send: your name, phone number, email address, service address, details about your home, and any photos you text us for a quote. If you book service, we also collect scheduling details and access instructions you choose to share, such as a gate code or lockbox location.
Payment information. Card payments and cards held on file are processed by Square. Your card number goes directly to Square and is stored on their systems, not ours. We never see or keep your full card number. Square’s handling of your information is covered by Square’s own privacy policy. Payments by cash, Zelle, or Venmo work the way those methods normally do and give us no card data at all.
Booking verification. Before confirming a first visit, we may confirm details about the service address against publicly available property records. This is a standard safety step and uses only public information.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours uses a small number of cookies and server logs to function, cache pages, and protect against spam. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell or share browsing data for advertising.
How we use it
We use your information to answer your inquiry, prepare your quote, schedule and perform cleaning services, send invoices and receipts, and keep records we are required to keep for tax and accounting purposes. If you text us photos for a quote, we use them to price the work and nothing else. We do not add you to marketing lists, and we do not send promotional texts or emails you did not ask for.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. It is shared only with the service providers that make our business run: our website host, our email provider, and Square for payments. Each of them handles your data under their own privacy terms and only as needed to provide their service to us. Beyond that, we would disclose information only if the law required it.
Photos of completed work
For vacation rental turnovers, we photograph finished rooms and send those photos to the property owner or manager as a record of the work. Photos of completed work are used for marketing only with separate written permission, and never in a way that identifies the address or shows personal belongings, faces, or documents.
Keys, codes, and access information
Any key, code, or access instruction you provide is kept secured, is never labeled with your address, and is returned or deleted within seven days after service ends.
How long we keep information
Quote requests that do not turn into bookings are kept only as long as they are useful for follow-up. Client records, invoices, and payment history are kept as long as needed for the service relationship and for the retention periods tax law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will honor deletion requests except where we are required to keep a record, such as invoices. Email us at alayahomecleaning@gmail.com and we will take care of it.
Children
Our website and services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
